Helpful Information for Tokyo Travel

Do you accept last minute bookings?

The Tokyo Drift Journey must be paid for in full by 90 days prior to the tour. You are welcome to join the waitlist. In the event that there are cancellations within those 90 days leading up to the tour, members of the waitlist will be contacted in the order in which they joined the waitlist. There is no guarantee that you will contacted for a tour if you're on the waitlist, and you can read our payment policy and cancellation policy here.

Does Chelsea Journeys provide travel insurance?

No, we do not provide travel insurance. We are not affiliated in any way with travel insurance providers, so it's up to you to do your due diligence in researching and purchasing travel insurance should you feel you need it.

Are your tours wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately at this time, our tours are not wheelchair accessible. If you require wheelchair accessibility, we recommend booking with another service.

Does your tour accommodate vegans, vegetarians and those with allergies?

At this time, we can accommodate vegetarians without issue. But we still recommend vegetarians do their own research about typical Japanese dishes they might encounter so they have a better understanding of what to avoid. While vegans are more than welcome to join our tour, it's important to understand that veganism is still not widespread or easily accommodated at most Japanese restaurants. The same can be said about severe food allergies. If you are vegan or have food allergies, Chelsea Journeys is more than happy to inform establishments of your dietary restrictions. However, we ultimately cannot be responsible for allergic reactions that occur from food or beverages travelers consume or for meat or animal by-products mistakenly consumed.

What is your payment and cancellation policy?

In the spring, the weather is Japan ranges from ____ to ____. Most people will be find with clothing like jeans and a long-sleeved T-shirt, sweater, or light jacket. In terms of modesty in Japan, there is a lot of variation in Tokyo. Plenty of people are modest and do not show much skin, but there are many who do. You should pack clothes depending on your comfortability level. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking. Of course, bring your camera to capture memories.

If you plan to do Go Karts in Tokyo, READ THIS!! If you live in the U.S., you'll need to get an International Driving Permit before coming to Japan in order to do Go Karts. The permit is free and shouldn't take long to receive once you've applied for it. But it may be best to do this 2-3 months before coming to Japan just to be safe.
